Question about playing mono records on a stereo cartridge

I’m looking at the upcoming Elusive Disc mono release of John Mayall and the Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton (The Beano album). I assume this will only play from one speaker if I try to play it on my stereo cartridge. Is that right?

No, it should play mono through both channels. It should be less noisy if the two amplifier channels are "mixed to mono" prior to being delivered to the stereo power amplifier channels & loudspeakers... but it'll be fine as is.
