Question about stylus interchangeability on Grado Black cartridges. Mono and 78

I have a Grado Black Prestige 78 cartridge mounted in a Dual 1009. I also am working up a dedicated mono system with an amp and speaker. While I'd like to have a separate cartridge and sled/headshell for the Dual, I'm wondering if Grado's MC+ or ME+ styluses might fit into and function with the Grado 78 cartridge.

The Grado 78 and Grado M+ cartridge bodies are both moving iron cartridges and have identical input loads and output levels. They also have the same inductance and resistance specs.

A couple of things. 1. I believe Grado styli are interchangeable in the metal body carts. (Doesn’t mean they sound better/worse, depends). 2. Give Grado a call/email they have been helpful in answering questions. And let us know what they said.

Well according to Grado, you are correct. Any of the Prestige series styluses will fit into any of the Prestige series cartridges.
