Question about Technics SA-AX6 vs. SU-G90

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone can help me find the specs for my Technics SU-G90 receiver.
I have searched far and wide on google and cant come up with a spec sheet.

I have had this receiver for about 12 years, and I have been running some Technics SB-SL701's which have been just fine.

I finally decided to upgrade and the other day I got my new Polk Monitor 70 Series II in the mail, hooked them up and they sound great!

So I found a Technics SA-AX6 Receiver on ebay and I was thinking that I might upgrade, but I dont know if its necessarily an upgrade. (because I dont know the specs of my G90..)

The reason I want that and not another brand (for now) is because I would like it to match the rest of the technics equipment that I have (cd changer EQ tuner tape deck).

I also want it because its 5.1, since I also bought a cs2 center ch with my m70's, but I dont know if I'm better off spending more money and abandoning my Technics setup or getting this.

Thanks in advance!

130 x2 on the G90... If it was mine id retrofit it from svi3206c to SVI3206A

The AX6 is a class H amp and comprable in output. It is more advanced pro logic, but imho id be looking back to the early mid 80s Technics amps (1984-5)

Unless pro logic is needed.... I run the best of both... TX50 as pre and the old school amps driving the speakers.

The build quality of the New Class A amps seemed to go downhill after 1983, if you ask me. I was shocked to find that an SU-V303 I recently acquired had plastic pot shafts on the tone and balance knobs. The button caps are plastic too. By contrast, everything is (or appears to be) metal on the SU-V3 and SU-V7.
