Question; Fixing a Bose 4.2 tweeter

Just found a pair of Bose 4.2 speakers. Pretty good shape except one of the tweeters has a hairline cut in it. I put some of the speaker refoam kit glue over it. Not sure how long it will work though.

Is there a way to patch this type of thing? I haven't seen a tweeter repair kit

Is the cut in the surround or the cone? If it's in the cone, fingernail polish is about the best you can do with those.

It would be worthwhile to dispose of the current tweeters and consider refitting the speakers with something a little better, though.
 
It is in the surround. We will see how the glue works. Was hoping they would have a patch or something.

As far as replacing the tweeters, do you have a suggestion as to what or where to obtain?
