Scanning the web the consensus is that all "coke bottle" 6550's were made by Tungsol of New Jersey.
I have one though labelled GE (not uncommon) but with EIA (mfr.) code 247, which means RCA from a plant in Penna. can someone explain that?
Also I have a Sylvania "6550" NON-coke bottle that is identical-looking to the Genelex/ GEC KT88 in and out. I think there's a Made in England/ GB/UK mark on it (I'm at work so my recall is iffy on that). Web searches negative. Is that unheard of?
