Question regarding wire setup of B&W Dm 610 (600i Series)

I've bought today a pair of speakers B&W Dm 610 (600i Series) . Each comes with separate input connectors for the tweeter and the woofer speakers, prepared for bi-amping. However, I'd like to hook them up to a Nikko Alpha 2 power amplifier. From the owner's manual ( http://www.bwgroup-support.com/downloads/manuals/bw/DM610-OM.pdf ) I understood that I should connect the inputs in parallel, but it doesn't make sense for me, unless there is a built-in frequency divider for each of both (tweeter and woofer) speakers. Otherwise, I would be feeding, say, the tweeter with the entire frequency spectrum provided by the amplifier, including low frequencies which it cannot reproduce! Clearly, I'm missing some very basic aspects of this type of speakers, but this is the first time I'm facing these (my speakers are vintage AR-3's , AR-15 and so on, with traditional wiring). Perhaps I should get an external frequency divider? Could anybody please let me know what should I do to use these speakers?

Many thanks for educating me!!

PS: I've seen pictures showing that I understood the manual correctly: people put jumpers between the connectors for both speaker drivers. I guess this means that there is a frequency divider inside.

A frequency divider is called a crossover, in case you were wondering. Hooking the two terminals together, as the instructions suggest, is the way to use these speakers without bi-wiring. There is a crossover included (which is also necessary for bi-wiring), so nothing will get damaged. Look at the last page of the link you sent, it mentions the crossover is 2.5kHz.

I've finally hooked up the speakers. They produce nice, beautiful, clear sound! I still need my ears to get accustomed to them. However, the clean bass of the AR-3 is definitely absent there. Anyway, I wanted these to stay in my bedroom, for quiet night listening and I think they are great for that job.
