Could use some advice here.
Last week I acquired an AU 7900 from a friend, no cost. He's had it in his garage collecting dust and thought it would be better off with me. Have yet to fire it up, he said it worked fine last time he was using it. But that was a while ago.
Any suggestions before hooking it up? It does look like it could use a general cleanup
Serial # is 227030316.
I have attached images, hope I got them inserted correctly! One question I have is the 220V tag on the back where the power cord goes into the unit. Should I be concerned that this should be used on 220 circuit?
Not sure what to do with the Sansui, options are, put a turntable and extra CD player on it and use a set of Ohm H speakers on it for another room and/or maybe gift it to a relative?
Still need to test it to make sure it is OK, may have it checked and serviced before I do anything.
This is my current set-up:
McIntosh MC 2505 amp with DB Systems Precision Preamp for CD and 3 MM turntables (Kenwood KD500 and KD550, and AR-XB), then a DB 8HG for Linn LP12 with Dynavector DV20x MC cartridge with Ohm Walsh Series F speakers.
Second room system had a Denon 3300 but it seems to have given up the ghost so am considering using a B&K Reference 20 with a Nakamichi PA-5 amp, speakers in there are DynAudio 72.
TV is using an Aragon Soundstage going to an Aragon 4004 and using Martin Logan Sequel II speakers
