If I was in Boston now I would likely grab those. Same with the guy selling all those receivers. If I could pick one of those receivers up for less than $50 (especially an HK330, which are supposed to be pretty good for the price), I would definately do it. Too bad I am not at school now and in good old NJ.

Did you also see my other post in D&S? The same guy has about 30 pairs of speakers he is selling as well!
 
I've got a set in my bedroom driven by a Pioneer SX-737. They sound real nice and just may be keepers up there. Just ordered them a set of fresh caps from PE yesterday.

Good solid speaker and worth that price.

I would jump on them if I were local. We have *zero* vintage BA speakers around here. At least none that I've seen.

Let us know how you do. I emailed and described how to check the surrounds.

Never did hear back from the seller.....and long ride for me just to find crumbling surrounds. :nono:

They do have crumbling sorrounds but they are in Pristine condition - not a scratch at all. They even have the small stands on them original and the original paperwork (including the warranty card). I have a refoam job in my future but they are really nice.

Well good! glad you got them. :yes: I would have passed with bad surrounds anyway. I made a promise to myself a while ago the if the speaker I was considering had foam surrounds, they had to be something really special or I would pass.

Nice! I have an old Lafayette reciver in mint shape. It has one of the nicest sounding tuners. You did well.
