Quick q about wattage.

Here’s a quick clip of the Scotts.

I probably could have used a higher quality song, but how can you resist Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers ;) Waiting for the day they will be restores a bit more, but will probably never happen.

There’s that bright sound, especially when Sam Cooke raises his voice. Plus, the bass in this song seems emphasized a bit, which I actually prefer. I think I was using the wrong songs to test earlier, as this DEFINITELY sounds better than my old speakers. Overall, pretty happy for $35.

Hi!

I'm reading this thread, but I need more understanding, so I'll use my own situation to help me understand your answers better.

I just purchased a Sansui RZ-1900 240 watt receiver. I also have a Fisher Standard RS-1015 Receiver as well, which is 15 watts per channel.

I'd like to know how much wattage should my speakers have for both receivers, and what speakers do you recommend? Lowest to highest in price, but crank out a great sound. I love the sound of bass, if that is helpful at all.

Thanks in advance.

I believe this is 27 watts into 8ohm. I suggest an efficient (90db or higher) speaker if you want to play loud. But, music genres, room size and layout, furnishing, etc. will all factor in the sound you get out of a system. If you like bass, add a subwoofer or two.
