QX-949 vs QX-949A

Just nabbed a QX-949 and was curious as to what had changed between the 949 and the 949A.

What issues were addressed in the 949A? Are they problems that should or can be addressed in the 949?

I don't know if you listen to quad decoded music, if you do there is a difference, otherwise not.

Some interesting comments at the quad forum. One of the comments mentioned a noisy channel in the 949 units he had vs the 949A. I'll have to look at the service manuals and schematics to see how different they really are internally.
