R.I.P. Kegger

I arrived on the tube scene about the time Kegger left us.

I didn't know him personally and cant recall ever having a conversation with the man but in my years here I've come to understand that his generosity, kindness, and willingness to experiment and share his results made him a legend of Audiokarma.

I come up short a lot, but i do try and embody his spirit of kindness and generosity.
Maybe some day I'll come close to his expertise on vacuum tubes, but don't hold your breath.

Another Keg basement story...

We were talking one day and I mentioned I was looking into roofing my house. I did my FIL's garage, so I had some idea of what needed to be done. I told Keg I had made a spreadsheet and had all the expenses laid out, shingles, underlayment and membrane, compressor and nail gun rental and even dumpster rental and could save like $2,500 by doing it myself. He asked about dumpster rental and I asked him what for and he said he had a bunch of old computer stuff to get rid of. I was surprised and asked him where it was as I didn't recall seeing much. He replied "Dude, what do you think is holding up all the audio stuff??" :D

Addendum to Squid's story: there was a third work bench set up in the big room too and pretty much in the same shape as the ones in the outer room.
