R.I.P. Mary Wilson of The Supremes

[eiraved]

Mary Wilson, outspoken co-founder of Motown’s legendary group, The Supremes, has died. She was 76.
Wilson helped launch the iconic pop and soul trio with Diana Ross and Florence Ballard after signing with Motown in 1961 when she was just 15.

The Supremes played a huge part of my childhood. She will be missed.

They had a brief clip of her on the local NBC Midday news show today, recorded a few days ago.
She was working to get a solo album released soon and was very enthusiastic about it.
She looked great for 76 yo - apparently her death came very suddenly.
RIP Mary Wilson.

Motown and the British Invasion were a major part of my musical upbringing, and The Supremes ranked right at the top....
Travel well, sweet lady....
