Tannoy 12" HPD drivers in berkeley sized cabinets
Revox B225
Pioneer PL-600 turntable
Monitor Audio ASW210 subwoofer

The 700m is a work in progress. Rebuilt and recapped the driver boards on christmas eve. All new onsemi outputs. Still a few more things to do.

I also have a pair of tannoy berkley 12" HPD. I need to decide which I like better.

Changed the celestion 66 out for my tannoy 12" HPD, with custom cherry veneer Berkeley sized cabinets. Definitely like them better. I made the stands for them.

When I first put the supremes in this setup, I was a bit disappointed. I knew what they could do. But they weren't doing it. I rebuilt the 700m, but not the 700c. Last night I did an experiment. I ran the variable output of my CD player right into one input on the 700m. I ran the fixed output through the 700c, and then to the other input on the 700m. When I bypassed the pre, there was the sound I wanted! Clear and crisp, and very open sounding.

Reading about EW's work with the 700c, I learned that though kenwood had originally intended to use film caps for inter-stage coupling, they used electrolytic caps! I plan to redo the pre, with only film caps in the signal path, as EW does. And then hear it shine!

Latest update to the system:
Revox B225 CD player. It was part of a bulk deal which has already paid for its self. Many thanks to Tinman for amazing advice on getting this beast running. Full recap and clean. It was filthy, and didn't even power up when I got it. This player was a dream to work on. All the boards can be completely removed.

Also, the kenwood 700C is now fully restored. Many thanks to EchoWars for the advice!

Latest addition to the system is a monitor audio asw210 subwoofer.
Not just any sub.
It has very rigid ceramic aluminum magnesium cones.

This thing hits low! And not at all sloppy.
