The best part of the deal was, I got them off this guy who really needed the money, on his way into a record shop!
OK, just kidding.
Was out helping a friend of mine who owns an auto shop - rebuilds, engine swaps, general mechanical work. Turns out his neighbor is a handyman, who also trades "random old stuff" that his clients give/sell him.
Managed to get:
Dave Brubeck - Time Further Out (Columbia 6 eye)
Johnny Smith - The Man with the Blue Guitar (Roost)
Stan Getz - Getz/Gilberto (Verve)
Eric Dolphy - Last Date (Limelight)
Gerry Mulligan - "Jeru" Gerry Mulligan (Columbia 2 eye)
Charlie Byrd - Blues Sonata (Riverside)
Erroll Garner - The Greatest Garner (Atlantic)
Erroll Garner - Gems (Columbia old school red label)
Cal Tjader - Soul Bird (Verve)
Oscar Peterson - The Sound of the Trio (Verve)
Coleman Hawkins - The Essential Coleman Hawkins (Verve)
The covers are pretty beat up and moldy, but the vinyl looks really clean for the most part, under a layer of grunge.
