I would be a bit leary of those as the foil looks like it has seen better days! And I think the word "rare" is a bit over used these days.

Yep, got that right. They get that way from running them hard and loud.
I see them on Ebay alot also. cheaper too.

Those circular EMITs are not that rare.
Maybe the red lettering makes them a "little" rarer?
As for price, they can be gotten cheaper.

More likely get that way running them hard with a amp that doesn't have enough current and when it starts clipping those EMIT's can't handle that abuse.

Thank you for the heads up but that price is double the going rate. If you need that color font just swap out the diaphragm with another emit.
