Rare Sansui SP-3005 on the bay

Yeah...that's the first set I've ever seen for sale, and if I had the green.....I'd have them....I love those massive massive huge grilles!!! Who knows what production numbers where, but those HAVE to be really super rare

wow....tri-ampable. I hope for the money they don't sound like the typical SP series from the late 60s. What kind of driver compliment do those have exactly? The seller isn't too clear about that...

Well, they sold, and for good money in my mind. They look pretty much like most Sansui speakers do with the grills off.

I can't for the life of me imagine why one would need to bi- or tri-amp them. They are too efficient to need that.

They remind me somewhat of a JBL with the grills on, is it the Jubal that looks sort of like they do?

Looks like super sized Kabuki to me.

No, they look nothing like the jubals, those bare a tiny resemblance to the JBL 4320, only in size, but not in any other way.

Makes me wonder why the Fisher XP-18s don't bring more dough. Head and shoulders a better speaker.

Its all good, and thanks for the olympus link, I want a set of those so bad, I drooled.
I need to save money for three or fours years to get em..lol
