RBH Sound Speakers

Does anybody have any experience with this company? Iam looking at a pair of R55Ti and R56Ci centre speaker. Finally found some information on them but not much for reviews. They are a 3 way speaker, 6 ohm, 88db with 50 to 200 watts recommended power.

I suspect that the Marantz PM 6004 would have a problem with the towers. If I get these, they may replace Boston Acoustics RS 260. I would look at a 2.1 integrated at a later date.

Sound wise, I like the Bostons, Angstrom Image, DO NOT like the JBL 4301s and am kind of satisfied with the Wharfedale Diamond 7.3s connected to a Kenwood KA 3500. Angstrom and JBL connected to an Akai AM 2850. The Boston Acoustics are currently being used with the Marantz. Too many systems, not enough room and still looking for more.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I know that I have to listen to these myself but I don't think it would make much difference. He would have different power, source, room size and treatment.

Just looking for a very general comparison to the type of sound I like.

Thanks
Al

The RBH R55Ti doesn't seem to be a model available in the US, but it looks very nice. I have a pair of MC-6CT towers and I would compare their sound favorably to B&W and Energy. But I notice the R55 appears to have something other than an aluminum tweeter. I think they are using silk domes in some of their newest and best designs, so that may be what that model has. If so, it would probably have a little different sound. So...I can't help you much, but I think you can rest assured that they are very high quality loudspeakers and would be competitive with the best similarly priced designs out there, particularly the ones that use the same basic layout (ported, multi-woofer three-ways w/ dome tweeters).

Thanks. Looking at there website, RBHsound.com, the company is based in Utah and these are part of the Impression Series.

The company has been around for about 40 years and is still owned by the owner and not be a multi-national. They list JBL, McIntosh and Parasound as companies that they have built speakers for.

I don 't have any pricing on these and no idea where they fall in their lineup.

Thanks Al
