Need a pair of the unique 12" Woofer for a pair of Altec Santana II's that are missing their woofers. Same woofers as in the Altec Model 7, 9 and 14 I believe.

Don't really want to mod the port and crossovers for a different 12" Woofer.

Heard the RCA 33785 is really a 13" Woofer, but have not confirmed.

I can have them reconed, etc at GPA so they don't have to be in great shape.

Lose the "RCA", it's only going to confuse you, and those you may poll for replacements. RCA is an abbreviation for "replacement cone Altec", and likely the brainchild of one of Altec's fleeting parent corporations in the early 80's. It has no association with Radio Corporation of America.

33785 was made by Altec, in house, was used in model 9, model 15, Santana II, and Stonehenge II. It replaced 23897 which was the initial woofer for Model 9 and model 15 with a stamped steel basket and 12 inches in diameter made by CTS. It's motor and moving assembly are the same as used by Altec on the 33785.

Model 14 uses 34633 woofer and while it may look the same as 33785, it has a larger motor and voice coil, this same woofer was also used in the 9842 monitor and the LF-2 subwoofer.
