I use Canjare flexible RG-cable and solder on my own Monster cable connectors with the spilt pins and the tensioned segmented grounds. Since I changed to gold I have gone as long as 20 years with out connection issues. The only time I really worry about connections is on my older Mac equipment that does not have gold chassis connectors. But then I have only had maybe 4 or 5 issues in over 50 years. Now the phone plugs of the crown Eq's and the barrier strip connections of the Urei equipment more often than not give me the biggest issues. I finally put gold spades on the cable for connecting to the Urei processors and crossovers. When nothing goes wrong and the signal drops out or the highs sound weird 99% of the time its the phone plugs on the crowns.
