RCA console ID help

Hello, I have an opportunity to buy a working RCA tube console. It`s 1 1/2 hours away and the owner is elderly and can`t offer any help on questions. All I have are these few shots. It is stereo because he said there are bass, treble and balance controls. Think at that size it would be single ended or push pull> Looks to be late 50`s judging by the turntable. Was this era a time when RCA was using the RS 177? Thanks...tom

Just a guess but it could contain a little single ended stereo amp. RCA used the same amps in many of their designs that I have come across over the years and if you do buy this one, it could have that nice little amp with the dual EL84's, a 12AX7, and a 5Y3GT.
 
I'm pretty sure Cademan nailed this one. I harvested the amp he described from a similar RCA console and had it rehabbed including some decent speaker connects. Last night I played it outside near my fire pit driving some efficient Altec speakers. Audio Nirvana resulted.
 
Audio Nirvana! That`s what I wanted to hear. How many watt per channel will the single ended put out? 5 or 6? I fear after all these years Im getting hooked on these low power tube amps.
 
Ain't nothing to fear at all. 4-6 watts sounds about right. Perhaps someone with real technical knowledge will verify.
