RCA/Victor console amp identification

Hi,

I posted about this in the DIY forum, but might have more luck here for ID.

Chassis of the amp only says 'CRC630101' and '27R2'. Could not find anything based on that yet.

Tubes are 2x 6FQ7 and 4x 6BQ5.

It has been pointed out to me in DIY that it might be an RS-177x series unit, but I could not find any RS-177 (I only found A H and J suffix) to be an exact match, even with the same tubes.

This is my first time looking for tube data, so there might be other resources I don't know of. I'm here to learn. :yes: Any help will be appreciated.

I'm guessing Canadian made RCA amps were different than whatever is archived all over the web, as I can not locate nor my chassis number, nor a schematic that corresponds to it.

Mine has solid-state rectification, kind of like the RS199 chassis, but is PP instead of SE, like the RS177, without being an RS177 series device.

I guess I'll have to take the long way and map the whole thing myself. Well, it'll be a good way to learn more about tube amps I suppose!

You may want to try contacting pacificTV in british columbia canada. They have a web site. John there was the one that found my canadian made fleetwood schematic when all others gave up....he is a digger

John at Pacific TV is the bomb! Found my schematic in no time!

My amp is from an SHC766 console.

I'll start another thread about the restoration process.
