RCA Vintage KS-12 External Speaker

I can’t find any information on this external speaker. I’m curious if it’s powered with its own amp. KS-12. That record player is a TPM-12 unit. I’ve never heard of either. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Seems to me the TPM powers the external speaker as well as what appear to be built in speakers in the same cabinet.
Is there a power cord (not speaker wire) running to the external speaker? If not then it get's its power elsewhere.

I don’t have any pictures of the back. I live in Michigan and these units are for sale in Minnesota. If it was a powered speaker, I would drive there to get it.
My thoughts are the same as yours. Not a powered speaker. The TPM-12 is probably a dual amp that does the work.

Ok, based on your other thread about the wiring I thought they were yours.

My post about the speaker wire is mine. The other post with the question about the TPM is not mine. But, if it was a powered speaker…..it was going to be mine.
I have 16 of these late 50’s RCA and Magnavox consoles restored in my collection. Definitely running out of space, but still looking. It’s just fun to restore them and it gives one a sense of satisfaction! Thank you for the information I receive on this site. Everyone is extremely helpful.

agree with this, sure looks like two output transformers on the amp in the main cabinet.
