RD 4.3FB zener

Hello

I have a Yamaha MX 1000U power amplifier here and to complete the repair I am in need of a couple RD 4.3FB Bi Directional zener diodes. They are an obsolete part and there are none available it seems anywhere. Has anyone come across this and is there any acceptable replacement for this part? Seems a shame to put this very nice piece of equipment on the shelf for a couple of diodes. Thank you in advance....

Can you post the section of the Schematic that has this?

4.3 v , 1 watt zener diode

bi-directional = bullshit <----- suppose your read that on the internet?

How about RD4.3FB - B1 Instead of Bi

B1 is 4.03v - 4.28v

This will do the job..

Here is a data sheet for a bi directional Zener diode

If you look at the part diagram it shows basically 2 diodes Anode to Anode .

Maybe put two 4.3 volt diodes in the same configuration?

I never came across one before so I'm just guessing here ;)

I was with Yamaha for some 35 years as a warranty station for pro gear and home audio and video In all of that time I had never had a conflict with part, now, I am not saying it could not happen. Im not here to start any kind of an arguement , just looking for information. I stand corrected I said Bi but the correct term would be a unidirectional diode. In the Yamaha MX-1000 amplifier, unidirectional Zener diodes are primarily used for voltage regulation and providing stable, low-power reference voltages for sensitive parts of the amplifier's circuitry, a copy and paste. I did notice a diode with the B1 after it also but it clearly is not marked anywhere like that in the service literature. I have the Yamaha issued literature issued on CDs. Anyways, Thanks for the info...

If that diode needs replacing that means you have a few other parts that went out.
