RDE 070 Poly switch bypass.

Looking to bypass this in a set of Klipsch speakers.
From my research, a 1 ohm resistor should keep everything in line in the crossover.
Does this seem right?
Thanks!

Measure the cold resistance of the polyswitch with an accurate low ohms meter or >4.5digit high accuracy DMM and replace with an equivalent resistor.

But why are you replacing it? They are very effective in protecting individual drivers in loudspeakers.

Sure-but they do effect the sound.
And from what I have heard in use the resistence rises-changing the crossover point, as well as output.
There is a spec on Mouser-I think the cold spec was .5ohm.
I will double check.
I figured the 1 ohm would be a "in use" spec.
As it seems the resistance rises when current is applied.

I found some NP ones-so I will go that route.
There 30 years old-rather have new.
They do go bad-like to avoid that!
