No Marconi:Gomer MacGyver
I have the speakers out of my Yamaha NS70T's and the crossover has four caps and four coils.
The caps have markings like 160v 3.5M this is a Nichicon axial. What does the M mean? microfarads?
How about this one...160WVAC? thats 160 volts right?
I'm guessing these speakers are at least 20 years old so the caps are getting replaced but I wanted to check here first.
What do you think?
BTW the crossover is a total PITA to get to.Its stapled to the rear and of course access is only through the bass speaker port.
Oh well...I've been in tighter spaces before.
Thanks
And these things sound great. They are my premier speakers.Love'em

Yes M will mean microfarads. The 160WVAC means 160 working Volts alternating current.

M could also mean 20% tolerance.
