Readjusting bias current and DC offset - Marantz 2230

Is it working again? In the future, if your leads are on securely, make your adjustments under power. Turning it on/off and making adjustments just leaves too much opportunity for a mistake. As long as your adjustments are minor and your are careful not to short against anything with your screwdriver, you should be able to set it up quickly and easily. Remember to let the unit warm up before making your final adjustments. Good luck! Rich
 
Checking for AC To the rectifier lets you know if the transformer is producing a working voltage to feed the receiver. AC before the rectifier and DC after it. In your case you would have no voltage at the rectifier, giving you a direction to look for reasons why.
