My ears are bleeding
I would like to create a reference database for Realistic (Radio Shack) speakers. The point is quite simple, Radio Shack made the habit of repurposing drivers (really not much different from the Big 3 Auto makers for decades).
All I ask is that you provide the catalog number for the speaker and the part number and description for the driver. At some point I should be able to create a cross reference for people to use when attempting to restore their "beloved" Radio Shack speaker system. I'm also considering adding catalog numbers for raw speakers sold individually, like the ribbon tweeter that was used in the Optimus-400 and similar sold separately. Hope you get the idea.
I'm sure there will be surprises along the way, unexpected matches and such.
You can post in this thread, but a PM would be helpful too.
Thank you for indulging me, just one more thing for me to do in retirement, not like I don't already have enough to do. LOL.
