It's a very decent amplifier - it has only two issues... it has a selenium rectifier in the bias supply (which is easily... ahem... rectified) and it runs its output tubes (7189s) very hard. That, too, can be rectified (so to speak).

I'd be willing to bet that even at that below bargain basement price some cheap sob still lowballed him. That has to be long gone by now.
