Realistic Lab 420 - Tonearm lifter issues

By chance - can anyone provide a more detailed view of the tonearm lift mechanism from below?

Service manual really doesn't talk about how the lifter works. Using the manual lifter, I can see how a plastic plate turns, but it doesn't contact anything, so I could be missing a spring or something, although no part identified in the service manual parts list. And I don't see in the service manual or from looking at it how lifts at the end of the cycle as the tonearm returns. Maybe there is a piece that's there but is woefully out of place.

In the photo - the metal plate with the tab /almost/ connects with the tab hanging down from that white plastic piece. But it needs quite a bit more range to push up the tonearm lift. Not sure if something is missing on this side or if there's something hidden in the tonearm mount that I can't see without removing the tonearm. (Would rather not do that!)

Having no replies, I disassembled stuff. Issue fixed, but for reference (mostly my own) - the main cam gear was not turned to the proper start location, which caused the seesaw lever to not travel all the way down. Also, a stupid height adjustment on the top of the cueing shaft - doesn't look like a height adjustment, looks like a screw to attach the platform to the shaft. ;-)
