Realistic LAB-440 problems

I got this table last summer from a friend (traded a Sears changer for it), and it has served me well since. It hasn't had any problems except when start is pressed, the arm moves slightly too far towards the record and in to the first song. And more recently, the arm no longer returns at the end of the record unless it is moved over the label of the record. Is there any way to adjust the automatic functions? And how would it be done?

The instruction for adjusting " Automatic Return Mechanism" is on page # 9 and Fig # 14 of the owner's manual. :music:
