Hi, I scored on some Realistic Minimus 26 in mint condition, the sound output is amazing, mids and lows sound crisp, a bass is punchy enough for yard sale find... This inspired me to buy a pair of Realistic Nova-15, I have done my research on RS's Realistic line and I love the vintage vibe, already have a pair of minimus-1s in my office as functional decor, the sound is not anything to write home about but they serve their purpose.. The biggest issue I have is with the Nova-15s, these big boys, put out a lot of sound, but everything feels very dead and distorted compared to the minimus-26... I've done my research and have come across many case's in which recapping brings the speakers back to life. So in order to get that done I opened them up took a picture of the capacitor and the values of the old capacitor are:
- 50V 4.7uF Bi-Polar
a quick search in parts express throws me many options but I honestly have no idea about anything, I have limited understanding of electrics circuits which would lead me to believe that a higher Voltage rating would work just fine but I am open to suggestions and any help would be greatly appreciated,
