Realistic SA-700 schematic or Service SA700

I've searched the world over and I thought I found a Realistic SA -700 manual but Google thought I meant another and and phhhhbbt I was wrong. With apologies to Hee Haw does anybody have either a service manual or schematic for a Realistic SA-700 integrated amplifier?

Google kept offering up Technics SA-700. Thanks Google but not what I'm looking for.

This little guy is a great sounding amp at 30? Wpc and I'm pretty happy with it but would love to get my hands on a manual in order to have voltage readings to compare to what I have in front of me. I also just want to have a document to refer to in case I need to troubleshoot something later.

Can't help with the SA-700 sm though some things worth a try.
Maybe sm for STA-700 (T=tuner?) would have same amp stage.
SA-500 sm is available on AK database, probably the 700 is it's bigger brother, possibly similiar circuit design but higher voltage
rail and meatier output transistors. The SA-500 uses an unregulated +40V supply, stepped down with resistors, for everything.

I believe the SA700 is a silver faced amp from the ‘69 catalog, a couple years before the “blackout” series that included SA500.

I don’t have a schematic but a couple ideas I have for you are to search the mfg no. 30-1970, save an eBay search for SA700 as you might find one that includes an owner manual (and miraculously, a schematic), and lastly to see if there is a very similar model made by the same maker (ie Foster, Hitachi et al) and look for that schem.

That SA-700 was a nice little amp. You never see them, they couldn't all have blown up! Our high school bought one with a pair of Optimus 1 speakers and a Miracord turntable, great system in Music Appreciation

Hi Mikhail, Congrats on your find! I replied to your message.

No distortion analyzer but back in 2018 I got a 'decent' 18w/ch RMS at 1KHz out of my SA-700 after I recapped it (in 2010):

This is pretty auspicious to stumble upon this thread… and not see that the posts are 8 years old. I just came into the possession of one of these and would very much like to do all that I can to restore it. If for mo other reason than just to give a little more life to this piece of audio history.

@Blast - I did not want to message without first asking here if I might also be able to ask for whatever you’d be willing to share about this amp. Unfortunately, I picked mine up DOA. I knew this beforehand. But I had hoped there would be more info out there than it turns out there actually is.

Any info provided would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck with the restore. I always liked the looks of this line if equipment.
Of course all the electrolytic caps should be replaced. Some of this older Japanese equipment used some resistors that need replacing as well, as the end caps can just fall right off if moved or even touched. I don't know if this amp has those though. Pulling and testing the output transistors would also be in order, and checking the emitter resistors. Hopefully it's just blown outputs.

Thanks. Yeah it does have as nice, minimal look to it. I appreciate the advice. I’ll have to do all of that in time. At the moment, it is showing no signs of powering on at all. So that’s where I am with it currently.
