Realistic SA1000A Integrated amplifier

I came across a Realistic SA1000A integrated amplifier at a second hand store. It was left for dead. I bought it for $10, took it home and fired it up. To my luck, it works perfect! Reseach from Audio Engine tells me it was made by Foster in 1977 and Radio Shack sold it for $159. For being rated at 20 watts RMS, it sounds more like
40-50w. More features than usual today. Has anyone had, used this amplifier? Thoughts anyone?? Thanks... Sam

I bought one new back in '75. I was in high-school and worked part time at RS.
I also bought a pair of Optimus 1B and 2B speakers along with the matching TM-1000 tuner. I have the TM-1000 tuner and Optimus 2B's connected to a SA-2001 amplifier in my garage. I recapped the SA-1000 and gave it to one of my son's.
There is a European version, the SA-1500 that is 30wpc instead of 20wpc.
The SA-1000A has held up pretty well over the years. I will say the volume controls used aren't the best. Several I've run across don't track evenly. One channel comes up before the other. It was my only gripe about the amp.
