Realistic STA 2200 & Sanyo P55 can they be hooked together?

I have a Sta 2200 which is a mosfet receiver and have my eyes on a Sanyo P55 power amp 100 watt mosfet. Been collecting for years and should know this but................................ can the Sanyo be conected to the Realistic? If yes ..how?

Look on the back of the Realistic and see if it has a "Pre out". If it does hook the Sanyo up to that and you are in business. Do you plan on adding another set of speakers for the Sanyo while you continue using the Realistics amp and your existing speakers? If not then you need to separate the pre main so you can disable the Realistics amp so you can run the Sanyo exclusively. My old Sansui has a switch to separate the pre main while some amps have jumpers and such. Somebody with more knowledge should chime in to offer a more detailed explanation of all this just in case I didn't help you enough. Myself i would just add the amp and another set of speakers. I hope this helps.
 
The STA-2200 does indeed have pre-outs and main-ins, so you can use the STA-2200's preamp and tuner with the Sanyo's amp very easily. Pull out the jumper pins and connect from the pre-outs to the Sanyo's inputs. Piece o' cake.

I'm not sure why you'd want to do this, but it can be done.
