Realistic STA-2300

hi guys im thinking of adding a monster receiver to my burgeoning collections. theres a good condition Realistic STA-2300 Receiver available locally. the seller wants $250 firm.

i think the STA-2300 pumps out 125w/channel but im not up on old Realistic or any Rat Shack stuff for that matter. is this beast worth the time & effort? more importantly, hows the sound of this beast?

all i have as a reference is a Sony STR-6800 SD that i got for $125 so in comparo, the Realistic seems to be priced high. thxs

I'm no expert here but there is no way I'd spend $250 on it either.

Realistic receivers are solid $1/watt pieces (IMO). The $250 price is very high, I've seen a couple on CL for <$100 in the last year.

The Realistic "monster" receivers are a bargain when you can get them cheap-- and you usually can.

I like Realistic equipment because it's usually cheap, but that is too high of a price.
