Realistic STA-240 modification

I have an STA 240 that I absolutely love. When I google "STA-240," I find this interesting quote:

"This receiver can be modified into a killer. It was a one-year wonder, and there don't seem to be that many out there."

Does anyone know about this modification. The receiver is already a killer.....I just want to make it an even better killer.

I would not change a thing if it sounds good as-is.
RS make some really good-sounding receivers.

The only sure way I know to improve old equipment is to replace old capacitors and transistors with new parts, i.e. to put back into as-new condition.
But then again, good is good. Enjoy it for what it is right now.

I agree. I have a Pioneer that sounds weak in the bass...any investment will go towards that. But the 240 sounds sweet and might as well enjoy it in my house instead of in some repair shop....
