Building a nice little system for my home office (aka the man cave) and stumbled on this nice little unit at a great deal!
So far I'm digging the little guy... don't understand the hate of Realistic equipment.
I am looking for opinions on a good speaker pairing by anyone with experience with this lit to me beauty.
Cheers! :beerchug::rockon:

Realistic made a bunch of speakers that would pair nicely with your STA 450. Look at their medium sized Nova, MC, and Optimus series bookshelves.

I've had 2 Realistic stereo recievers, The STA 90, and their STA 7 and both been stellar performers and real lookers. That STA 450 is another one of their fine receivers.

I actually was looking at some local speakers... some Nova 7B's... and a pair of infinity RS 325's... know nothing about either and looking up specs. Worry if the little STA-450 would bring enough 'oomph!'

Those Infinities are pretty efficient and should play plenty loud with the 450. They look like good speakers. While the 7B's might still make 95 db's in the room. That's pretty loud too. I probably listen to music at 70 - 85 db's.

Even my 10 wpc STA 7 will power every speaker I have to very satisfying SPL's.

I am leaning heavily toward those Infinity Speakers... I have no personal experience with the brand, but from what people say they sound like quality. I generally don't listen at very high volumes either... just nice knowing I have the option ;)
