Realistic STA-65 inputs

I am in need of some coaching.
I have this here beautiful receiver and I'm not 100% sure what these inputs are for.

TAPE OUT, must be going to the real-to-real.
AUX, would be any auxiliary input.
XTAL, does that mean external? What is this for?
MAG-2, MAG-1, is this for magnetic cartridge turntables?

Welcome to AK, @William907. You may not have noticed that AK has a number of sub-forums, some more specialized than others. The one you posted in. "Tuners", is specialized for discussions that have to do with receiving broadcast radio, so it's not the best for your inquiry. Probably "General Audio Discussion" is best. I'll alert this sub-forum's hard-working moderator to see if he's got time to move the thread.

I looked for a sub-forum called receiver, but didn't see one.
Since this is also a tuner, I figured it was most appropriate in the tuner sub-forum.
Maybe it should be in Solid State.
Maybe there should be one called receivers and stereo amps.
