Hey All,
Long time lurker, finally registered an account.
i have a Realistic STA-76, that I just got last month. It’s only my second ever receiver and first vintage one. (First receiver was a Yamaha r-v905) I love my little sta-75, but it does this weird tapping & squelch sound sometimes. I took it apart last week, cleaned everything I could find with isopropyl alcohol and deoxit, put it back together, and it still did it. Changed the location of where it was plugged in and it does it less, and much quieter than it was, but it’s still there and when it’s quiet, (I.e. no music, like between songs) it’s really annoying. Any ideas on how to approach this or what’s happening? I’m not opposed to learning how to fix stuff, I’d actually like to learn. But like I said, this is my first time.
thanks!
(I don’t know how to upload a video of the sound)
