I've had this cartridge for years and have been tinkering around with it. It works but in trying to adjust the screw mount brackets on the top (they were bent in azimuth/VTA/tilt unfriendly ways upon acquisition) it snapped loose at what appears to be a tack weld. I don't have the gear or skills for that, and I've tried soldering it. (I knew better, but...you know...never leave a casualty on the restoration battlefield, lol) So my question is:
Can it be done and if so how? The MI magnet assembly removes easily so that's not an issue. I have a new stylus standing by (purchased before the cartridge body became "dehorned") and I need to either restore it or sell it for Parts/NW. I have a L747-S that I think is terrific. But I think it needs some family to keep it company.
