Can anyone give me some good recommendations for where to have my Harman Kardon Citation 11 preamp and HK Citation 12 power amp rebuilt? They were very good once but now sound not so good. I don't know if anyone specializes in this equipment or not.

They can be made whole again - I've got a Cit 11 I use a lot of late that I restored - it can be done. There's a guy who advertises on eBay for his Citation services for the solid state ones. I have some contact info but not sure if he wants it given out here. PM for details.

Cheers,

David

They are extremely easy to work on, at least the 11. If you need any tips on how to DIY send me a PM.

Thanks for the information! I'll check on eBay, but if you can send me some contact info that would be great. I've been on vacation and just now went to AudioKarma.

Thanks,
Steve

The gentleman's name is Patrick Kraushaar, located in Grand Rapids, MI. I'll PM his email to keep the 'bots from picking it up. If he's busy, there are some good folks in the banners at the bottom of the page you are reading.

Cheers,

David

Citations are going to Terry DeWick

Hello David,

I did not hear back from Patrick but I have sent the Citations to Terry DeWick.
I originally heard the 11a preamp and 12 Deluxe amp as a poor grad student around 1974. The system sounded so much better than my solid state Sherwood receiver.

Thanks,
Steve

You'll be in good hand with Terry. Have been by his shop myself. A gentleman and great tech.

Cheers,

David
