Rebuilding Optimus Pro LX5's

I love the tweeter on these speakers, it's such a shame that the rest of them are junk. I'm getting plans together to rebuild mine. Cabinet later. For now, new crossover and woofer. I'm looking at a Goldwood 5 1/4inch shielded 4ohm woofer in my PE catalog. Sku# 290-374. My favorite characteristic about it is it's efficiency rating, 90db. I want to pair it with a Dayton two way crossover however I don't really know what xover frequency would be good for the Linaeum tweeter. I can choose from 2,000Hz up to 4,500Hz.

Can anybody weigh in on this subject?

Consider this woofer instead. A few dollars cheaper and better reviews. It's efficiency rating is much closer to the tweeter as well.
Forget the premade crossover. First, you'd have a heck of a time getting one of those things into the enclosure, if it fit at all, and it's designed to work with an 8-ohm tweeter. The Linaeum is 6-ohms.
Those enclosures are a crime against humanity. All kinds of audio nastyness going on there. I swapped the LX-5 woofers into the cabs of some Optimus Pro-X88AV's and that alone made them sound better. You can use one of those crossover calculators to get you started. Shoot for a 3000hz crossover point and add a Zobel to the woofer. As soon as you can, make some MDF cabs and pitch that original one.
