Recap question for Paradigm 9SE

Looking to recap the crossovers from my Paradigm 9SE's which are over 26 years old. There's a stamp on the inside that says Jun 15, 1989.

From the pictures it looks like one "yellow" marked 6.8 uF/K at 100 v MAC

3 black glued together at 4.7 uF 100v. I can only read the top one as the glue covers the other two.

Then there's a yellow one that only has the marking SEC. Is that a capacitor or a resistor?

Always good to have a second pair of eyes to look at it...appreciate your feedback.

The yellow ones look like film caps that don't need to be changed because they don't age. However, if you into exploring the 'wonderful' world of boutique caps, then reconsider not replacing the yellow ones. The black ones are NPE's and do age. They should be changed. If you want to maintain the same voicing, then replace them with NPE's. Parts express or Madisound's Bennic caps are good ones to use.

Thanks so much Carl...it was a big help. I just want to get the speakers back to spec after 26 years so I plan on only doing the NPE's. I replaced the tweeter voice coils and replenished the ferrofluid in the tweeters as well. I examined the woofers and the other connections and they all look very good. I'll order the caps and follow up again with a progress report when they're done.
 
I recapped the Paradigm 9SE's over the weekend. I contacted Madisound about this project and they recommended the Carli mylar caps to replace the NPE's. The caps ran $9.00 for the pair. I didn't replace the other caps as I didn't want to mess with the original design too much. Plus if they're working why replace them. Installing them was simple. I took my time and it was a fun weekend project. I'm very happy with the results...from what I can tell it smoothed out the midrange and took some harshness out of the highs that I didn't remember being there when I first bought the speaker in 1990. Definitely worth the time and the $9.
 
Howdy. Just found this post. I just re-acquired the 9se Paradigms that I bought new back in 1990. I had traded them to a friend and just this year traded some gear for them. I realize it’s been a while since you upgraded those 3 NPE caps with Mylar film caps but do you recall if you replaced them with a single film cap or with 3 in parallel?
 
Howdy from Texas. I've slept a few times since doing this upgrade but after researching my notes it looks like I got the capacitors I needed from Parts Express. The original crossover configuration of my 9SEs used three 4.7uF non polarized electrolytic capacitors in parallel with a 3uF film cap to form a 17.1uF capacitor. That group is in series with a 6.8uF cap made up of two caps in parallel, a 1.8uF and a 5uF (see attached image file).
I kept the original 6.8uF cpacitor arrangement as they are good film caps and checked good. As for the 17.1uF cap, I replaced the original config with a 12uF and 5.1uF film capacitor in parallel.
The part numbers for the caps I used are as follows:
- Dayton Audio DMPC-5.1 5.1uF 250V Polypropylene Capacitor, Part # 027-423
- Dayton Audio DMPC-12 12uF 250V Polypropylene Capacitor, Part # 027-430
