I know the 1984 Trans Am had Recaro seats as factory equipment, I recall them being comfy and yet kept ya in place while carving corners ....

Very nice color matching.

I don't know the specifics of the bankruptcy, but it seems to signal the end of an era.

Damn! What a shame!

Hopefully just restructuring, things are tight right now, all over the place and in all types of business..

Recaro has been around for a very long time. I had a set of Sport Bug seats in my 73 SuperBeetle that were made by Recaro. The padding was almost completely gone and they were still comfortable.

Yes, since 1906.

I can remember when they made bodies for Porsche before they made seats for buses. I still have several LNs and others.

Yeah, they made some 356 model bodies. My Biochemistry professor in college had a 1963 356B with a body by Reutter. It's a very well-made car.

Recaro Germany GmbH, they are "financially restructuring". Other global offices are business as usual.

I guess "business rehabilitation" is similar to restructuring.

My son and I just finished these Tamiya 1/10 RC cars just the other day and I was explaining to him the various sponsors, including Recaro.
