Hello, I’ve been listening to the KEF R11’s for a few months now, and with the latest sales on the non-meta versions I decided to get a complete 5.1 set by supplementing the R3’s and R2c for future surround support.
I currently run the R11’s with a Yamaha A-S1100 stereo amp, and would love to keep it that way. I read that you can connect a receiver directly to a stereo amp (Main-in/Pre-out) to keep both options.
However, I was originally thinking of going for a Yamaha receiver (RX-A2A), but whenever I look for receiver suggestions anywhere, Yamaha is never really mentioned, usually Denon or Marantz. Are they bad receivers, and if so what would be a better choice?
I don’t have a high budget right now, at max I’m looking for €1200 - €1500 spending.
