Surrender to the flow
Someone had mentioned Narcos in another thread. I found it entertaining but it helps if you speak Spanish as MOST of the dialogue is captioned.
Two other recent Netflix finds: (Full length movies)
Horns, I was pleasantly surprised by this one! Much better than its description. More comedy than dark, well a little dark and Juno Temple is memorizing.
Horns is a 2014 American dark fantasy horror-comedy film directed by Alexandre Aja, loosely based on Joe Hill's novel of the same name. Daniel Radcliffe stars as a man who is accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend (Juno Temple) and uses his newly discovered paranormal abilities to uncover the real killer.
And
Moonrise Kingdom, IMO it is a must see for anyone who has ever been young, in love, or both at the same time. Great cast, well acted, beautiful screenplay and cinematography. A lighthearted, quirky romance/comedy. Instant classic
Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, Moonrise Kingdom tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore -- and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl's parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.
