My addiction: SX-3500, SX-3600, (2)SX-3700s, (2)SX-3800s, and a SX-3900. I also have another SX-3700 not shown. Help me.................................I'm obsessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They all work but, they all need some work. Thanks for this great forum for Pioneer addicts!

You are obsessed and welcome to AudioKarma. Great stack of Pioneer receivers. So what do you listen to?
 
Late 70s and 80s rock is my thing. I just got back into my old collection of albums after getting a vintage front loading turntable. Sorry it is a Sony, I have not found a reasonable Pioneer but I am looking.

Outstanding--Pioneer should make they're headquarters building look like that awesome stack of gear. I've become a fluroscan addict also. Keep up the good work!!!
 
Very nice. I used to have a SX-3600. Sure are pretty things. But isn't that stack like having someone stand on the poor SX-3900 on the bottom?

I was thinking the same thing.. that's a lot of weight on that 3900 :)

I have a lil ol' 3600 in mint condition... actually...would love to come across a 3800 or 3900! I love the fluro's!

Listening to my 3600 right now, I'm tuned into "Big Hairy Tunes on K-Rock" ... what's up "Smoking in the Boys Room" by Motley Crue :music::guitar::guitar:
 
The SX-3600 was purchased new and is in mint condition, the rest of these were puchased on ebay. I don't have much invested in any of them the most I paid was $118.00 for the SX-3900. I unstacked the pile after the pictures were taken, I just wanted to see what they would look like all stacked together. I also took a picture in the dark with only the displays for effect, it did'nt turn out well enough to post. I sure am enjoying these awesome reciever's that I dreamed about in my youth and I am looking forward to doing some restoration on these units as my budget allows. This sure is an outstanding forum for those of us that enjoy the vintage Pioneer components of the good ole days!

1984 Bayliner model #1710 fish and ski boat with an 85hp Force outboard motor. I enjoy tinkering with this boat and motor and it gives me lots of chances to do so. This is my other obsession! Good observation, are you also into boating and fishing? Or is vintage stereo your only vise?

Good point it's actually 156lb's sitting on top of the 3900 so each foot is pushing down with 39lbs each

Not to bad now if they had been X50 receivers then that 3900 would be in a lot of trouble. But for instance the SX-3500 only weighs in at a whopping 16lbs even the 3800 only weighs 35lbs+

compared to a little old SX-650 that weighs 28lbs and a 1050 hits 51lbs

Don't forget the 1250 at around 65 lbs. I'd swear it was 100 when I hoist it up to the top of my 57" tv.

No, like you, I like to be on the water. We have a 1985 Bayliner 1400 with a 2003 Honda 50hp on it. I got tired of 2-strokes, and it appeared to be mutual. My wife and her sister like to fish, I just read books, snooze and swim when we boat.
