Can anyone recommend a good repair shop in the Capital/Upstate region of NY? My Dad would like to have his Yamaha C4 preamp and M4 cleaned and checked.

I'll be there all weekend. What's the address..I'll pick it up and check it out myself... trust me!

I forget the name

I had a couple of recievers fixed in Clifton Park. You can find it online or in the phonebook. The place is just off of the Northway. The guy did good work for me and seemed to be pretty stand-up. It took him a couple of weeks because he has alot of stuff cooking.

If thats the guy Im thinking of, he sells vintage gear too, shop in a little stripmall next door to the bowling alley,c cash only there, no plastic. I cant recall the name, but heres a good clue..call up LastVestige Records in Albany (quail st I think), they are on www too. and ask them, they are the ones that turned me on to this guy.

And heres another clue..DONT go to Lake Electronics. Just my humble opinion.

The name of the place is "THE STEREO WORKSHOP", I have been in there a few times but only to window shop.
If you come off exit 9 of the northway, go to RT 9 south, he is about 1/4 mile south of rt 146 on the right side, and yes in the same building as clifton park bowl.

You might try these guys also, its worth the stop to see some of their custom speaker setups. http://www.dalbec.com/
