Recommend TT?

Hello I'm buying my first home I've been wanting to to get a decent TT for decades but have put it off due to working and not having time, I had a few In my younger years I preferred direct drive TTs the last one I owned was a Technics made in Japan but I don't remember the model :( that was way back in the early 80s any recommendations on a good solid TT ? I still have some of my old Mobile Fidelity SL half speed masters, I want to limit my purchase price to $500.00 what brands/models are the most serviceable and have parts available? I can't wait to any my old Pink Floyd though a old Tube amp once I get the tubes for it! (I found a junk dealer with thousands of old tubes for sale just have to dig through them)

Either New would be nice but a good used TT not abused would suffice. If I could get a new one at a decent price I would jump on it but knowing some parts may need to be replaced like the Caps since they can dry out over time with good Solid State Japanese Caps, if it's 20+ years old I stillay have to do some work to it.

nice semi auto table with a great arm, silky smooth slotless coreless motor, an endgame table for most that just makes spinning records fun

as you can see from the pic its a LARGE deck so some real estate will be needed. The plinth looks black but upon close inspection is actually high gloss dark mohagany woodgrain.

These are kind of rare so don't pop up that often, and the secret is out on just how great they are so prices are climbing. Not long ago you might find one in pristine condition for around $350, $500 might still be a possibility.

I'm not really interested in BT or USB on a TT I'm looking to keep it nostalgic as possible I might look into a new TT to play with later I already have 8+ TB of Flacs on a Synology NAS.
 
Just sold a Dual CS-5000 with an OM-30 cartridge in perfect condition for $525 Canadian or about $400 US so your price range will be able to get you a pretty nice table.

Systemdek IIX would be a good one and unless you get the IIXe it will have no electronics to worry about. You should be able to get a nice one for $500 or less.
 
I have have 4 turntables in my assortment:
Dual CS-721
Dual CS714Q
Sanyo TPX3
Audio Technica LP3

I find that the Dual CS-721 is my go-to turntable. It is a vintage direct drive turntable, has VTA, repeat play, auto start/stop and has virtually no feedback or rumble issues. Most importantly, it is outfitted with a Shure V15III cartridge and a Jico VN35HE replacement stylus that sounds fantastic.

If vintage is your preference, you may want to consider this model from Dual.

I would just get a new direct drive deck and call it a day. Buy an AT LP120, slap a nice cartridge on it (a new AT VM540ML or Nagaoka MP-110 would be great) and enjoy.

No need to worry about parts, servicing, etc and it'll be right in your budget.
