I have a Mcintosh Mp100 which can be considered a little too revealing. But it does what I am after. Right now I use it with a Highoutput Dynavector Moving coil 20 X 2. It cleans up the sound of my C-34 phono section sounding more like the phono section of my former C-29. The digital out put also feeds one of the inputs of the MX 151 and the sound is very surprising. MP 100 is pricey, but you might find a pre-owned one. Its easily adjustable for both MM and MC cartridges.
